Falling into Fall

‘Falling into fall’ is how I’d describe those of us who embrace the coming of autumn with exuberance, who pile on the layers as soon as the first chill hits, and who look forward all summer to the changing leaves and pumpkin-everything fall has to offer.

Shades of Pumpkin and Navy
Speaking of pumpkin-everything, this super comfy long-sleeved top from Old Navy definitely has the pumpkin/fall leaf vibe going on. I paired it with some navy blue pants (also from Old Navy) and my slouchy mid-calf black boots. For a splash of extra color, I added a scarf with tones of orange, navy, and light pink. I’ve also got my Sakroots One World wallet, which I honestly wear with just about anything… I really love the elephant print)!

Coffee and Chai
I’ll be honest, I have either coffee or chai every single day (some days I have both). I definitely fall into the ‘caffeine-addicted grad student’ category. The Starbucks Reserve in Midtown is a fantastic place to get a chai and hang out indoors or outdoors. Plus, they have some really neat events!

I’m also a self-diagnosed Krispy Kreme addict; how could I not be? They’re right down the street from me, and there’s something so alluring about that Hot ‘n Ready sign at the end of a long day. Krispy Kreme is also amazing when it comes to the amount of freebies they give away; just this month, for example, they gave out free coffee and a donut for National Coffee Day. You can bet I woke up early for that!

Fall Flower Power
I love floral prints, so I can’t give them up, even when the seasons change. Plus, it’s been too hot for most of the summer to wear long pants! These blue and white floral ankle-length pants and thin knit grey top are perfect for a sort-of-chilly southern October day. They’re both from Old Navy, accompanied by Merona sandals and a scarf.
