Purses and bags are quickly becoming one of my favorite ways to accessorize, and it’s always extra nice when you have something that’s got a little unique character and personality! This Savita purse from The White Peacock Shop is a perfect example. Lightweight, handmade, and with a fun, bright print, this purse is an excellent option when you want to add a little flair to your look of the day.

The White Peacock Shop is an online store featuring handcrafted, ethically-sourced bags, accessories, and home goods. They have some really lovely travel sets and journals, also! Purchases made from the shop benefit the women who design and craft each creation! You can read more about their mission and the ladies behind the designs in the “About” section on their website. One of the wonderful things about handcrafted goods is that each one has its own story and vibe.

My Savita purse from The White Peacock Shop has a long shoulder strap. Personally, I prefer purses and bags with shoulder straps. If I’m wearing my bag all the time, I’m much less likely to set it down and leave it somewhere, and I can be extremely forgetful. This purse is the perfect size to fit my wallet, keys, phone, and lipgloss – all of the essentials! It’s also got a really pretty floral pattern in warm fall tones. Perfect for seasonal style!

The Look

I’m wearing it here with a blouse/choli, which is a nice solid blue that I love. It’s from Mirage Sarees in Decatur. (If there isn’t a brick and mortar store that sells this style near you, you can always check out Etsy)! My pants are from a vendor in the French Market of New Orleans, and they have a fantastic elephant print! (The only downside is that I’ve had to restitch the seams already). I was really happy with the overall look, and I’m filing it as a “definitely repeat!”

  1. I like the purse and I am someone that likes a shoulder strap too. I too am afraid that I might set it down and forget it. The purse looks like it dies hold a lot and would be something I would use.
